Health Care Systems

Cartersville Exterior

Healthcare facility design has been the primary focus of our practice since the company’s inception in 2007.  The performance requirements of the building systems found inside typical healthcare facilities provide a significant challenge to the design engineer.  Our firm specializes in the design of these types of facilities and systems, and is well-positioned to provide both architects and owners with solid design advice from the programming phase through design and construction.  Some typical facilities in which we operate are:

Hospitals
Ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs)
Large and small medical office buildings
Primary and urgent care facilities
Diabetes treatment centers
Orthopedic centers
Hydrotherapy and physical therapy facilities
Pain care and management facilities
Memory care (Alzheimer’s) facilities
Dental offices
Oral-maxillofacial surgery facilities

Healthcare facilities such as hospitals and surgery centers can be large energy consumers due to the type and operational requirements of the equipment and systems located in these facilities.  When designing new buildings or upgrading existing facilities, we model the buildings and systems using state of the art computer simulation software to predict the energy performance of the building before any construction design takes place.  Once a course of design is established using these models, our team of engineers looks at every aspect of the building’s use in order to minimize the energy consumption and carbon footprint of the facility.

Our goal is to provide our customers with facilities where world-class healthcare is first and foremost and building systems are an afterthought.
